Spend some time swimming around to become familiar with your equipment and body position underwater.

  • The ideal position is to be swimming horizontally with no equipment dangling.
  • To simulate this out of the water:
    • Lie facedown on the floor and...
    • Lift your feet up from the knees up (90 degrees) and...
    • Look forward.
  • If you were doing this underwater, your arms would be hanging down and folded together.
